Meet the Team: Sean Klooster
Can you share a bit about your background and where you're from?
I’m originally from the Atlanta, GA metro area and still live in Atlanta today. After graduating from film school I returned to Georgia and began working on set for shows like Netflix’s Ozark and Apple TV+’s Servant. My experience working in production has been an invaluable resource for my time here at Impact Crew. I’m able to bring in the perspective of crew members every day as we seek to tackle the problems faced by productions and crew all over the world.
Could you provide insights into your role at Impact Crew?
As Customer Experience Lead, my goal is always to exceed our customers’ expectations by delivering value. The CX team does a lot at Impact including answering customer questions, sourcing available candidates for productions, and coordinating with studios, production companies, and crew members around the world to better understand their needs. Our goal is always to make the lives of crew easier. We want to provide them with new opportunities and provide hirers with a resource of top-notch candidates for their shows.
In your experience at Impact Crew, what aspect of your work do you find fulfilling or rewarding?
The most rewarding part of my day is when I connect a producer or department head with a crew member they wouldn’t have met otherwise. So often we rely on our personal networks for hiring and often miss out on other amazing candidates. When a crew member is hired by a producer or department head they didn’t have a relationship with prior, I find that very fulfilling.
If you had the opportunity to collaborate with anyone in this industry, who would it be?
I would love to simply pick the brain of Martin Scorsese for fifteen minutes. What a wealth of knowledge and creativity there. I would love to collaborate with him someday.
