Impact Crew & Go For PAs Networking Event: The PArty
In a continuous effort to recognize crew, this past Thursday, we were thrilled to host "The PArty" - a networking event for Production Assistants (PAs). Collaborating with the Go For PAs Alliance, an organization committed to providing aid and support to Film and TV Production Assistants, we aimed to boost morale, foster connections, and give back to these unsung heroes who work tirelessly behind the scenes.
The PArty took place with the backdrop of the Hollywood skyline on the rooftop of Grandmaster Recorders. It provided a space for PAs to come together, connect, and collaborate with peers who share similar experiences. In an industry where relationships are the foundation of success, this event was a space for PAs to meet one another and build invaluable connections.
At the heart of The PArty was a spotlight on the pivotal role PAs play in ensuring the seamless functioning of the entertainment industry. The event not only provided a platform for PAs to connect and share experiences but also emphasized the importance of these connections in an industry that thrives on relationship-building. “Networking is where your next jobs are going to come from, and the people that you meet in the beginning of your career are the most important” said Tyler Mitchell, CEO of Impact Crew.
To facilitate connections, each attendee was given access to a dedicated CrewChat for the event, allowing direct communication with fellow PAs. The encouragement to engage in conversations and connect on the platform further enhanced the collaborative spirit of the evening.
“This has been an incredibly challenging time for our entire industry, but when we can come together with organizations who share the common goal of supporting and lifting up the crews that make our industry possible, it’s truly heartwarming. It’s such a wonderful reminder that we’re all in this together, and as an industry built on collaboration, when we come together, we can do amazing things. We know how vital the PAs are to our industry and how long it will take them to recover from the strikes, and we’ll continue to try to offer them help and support.” said Katie Hacker and Andrea Block, the founders of the Go For PAs Alliance.
The PArty was a testament to the importance of recognizing the hard work and dedication of PAs. It shed a well-deserved spotlight on these individuals who work diligently behind the scenes, ensuring the success of every project.
The PArty has set the stage for future networking gatherings that will continue to unite and empower the entertainment community. Stay tuned for upcoming events and initiatives dedicated to honoring crew.
